❤️🩸 When our community was called to help, REALTORS® answered.

Our biannual blood drive with the Red Cross on Friday, July 31 was an incredible success, and we’re so grateful to everyone who rolled up a sleeve to make a difference.

❤️ 37 generous donors
🩸 40 lifesaving blood products collected (including 3 Power Red donations!)
🌟 14 first-time donors took the leap to give back.

One of the most inspiring moments of the day was meeting a walk-in donor who proudly showed us his multi-gallon Blood Donor certificate. He shared that he’s been donating blood for most of his life - a powerful reminder that one simple act, repeated over time, can save countless lives. 💫

To every REALTOR®, affiliate, volunteer, first-time donor, and returning donor who answered the call: thank you. Your generosity will have a lasting impact on patients and families who need it most.

Together, we’re proving that REALTORS® don’t just build communities - we care for them. ❤️

And you can help this Friday the 31st!! Our Blood Drive is at Carroll EMC from 11-4. 🩸💫 Every drop counts!

The American Red Cross announced this week that for only the second time in history, a national blood crisis has been declared.

The organization is in dire need of donations of all blood types.
However, the situation for type O blood is “especially dire.”

Here's how you can help: Below are dates for blood drives taking place in Carrollton.

July 30: 9 a.m. — 2 p.m., Tanner Medical Center, 705 Dixie St.
July 31: 11 a.m. — 4 p.m., Carroll EMC, 155 N. Hwy 113
Aug. 4: 12:30 p.m. — 5:30 p.m., Carrollton First Methodist Church, 206 Newnan St.
Aug. 7: 9 a.m. — 2 p.m., CityStation, 2115 Maple St.
Aug. 13: 2 p.m. — 7 p.m., Trent T. North Gymnasium, 1201 Newnan Road

🎧 1,000+ headphones. Countless smiles. One incredible community.

Rebel Fest 2026 was an unforgettable success, and it’s all because our community showed up together 🫶

Thanks to the generosity of so many individuals, businesses, and volunteers, more than 1,000 pairs of headphones were donated to students at this year’s event. 🎉

But the impact didn’t stop there. Throughout the day, local companies and community partners came together to offer free haircuts, new shoes, and other valuable resources to children, making a difference far beyond what words can express. 🫶

To everyone who donated, volunteered, sponsored, or served in any way - thank you. Your kindness helped create a day filled with hope, encouragement, and opportunity. 💫

This is what community looks like, and we’re grateful to be part of it. 💙💚

Rebel Fest is this weekend!! 💫 Much appreciation and thanks to those who have donated to help us help these children have a great start to their school year. 💚💙

We are so excited to partner again with Haralson County Family Connection and the Haralson County School District to host our annual Rebel Fest Back to School event! Thanks to our amazing community partners, we have enough school supplies for 1,200 students!! Bring your kids and join us for a fun day! ✂️✏️🎒

🇺🇸 West Metro REALTORS® Representing You in Washington, D.C.!

Last month, President Kellie Wiggins, President-Elect Renae Bell, and Association Executive Tami Brodie had the honor of representing the West Metro Board of REALTORS® at the 2026 National Association of REALTORS® Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C.

It was an incredible week of advocacy, education, and collaboration - ensuring our members have a voice where it matters most.

🏛️ Advocating for Homeownership
Kellie, Renae, and Tami joined fellow Georgia REALTORS® on Capitol Hill to meet with Senator Jon Ossoff and staff from Congressman Brian Jack's office to discuss legislation impacting:
• Homeownership opportunities
• Housing affordability
• Property rights
• Housing inventory
• The future of the real estate profession

🏡 Key Legislative Priorities Included:
✔️ Increasing housing supply
✔️ Supporting first-time homebuyers
✔️ Reducing barriers to new housing development
✔️ Revitalizing downtown communities
✔️ Protecting independent contractor status for REALTORS®
✔️ Expanding affordable healthcare options

🤝 Learning from REALTOR® Leaders
The conference also included leadership forums where association leaders from across the country exchanged ideas and best practices to strengthen local boards and better serve their members.

📊 Looking Ahead
Educational sessions featuring NAR leadership and economists Dr. Lawrence Yun and Dr. Jessica Lautz provided valuable insight into economic trends, the housing market, and what may be ahead for real estate in 2026.

🏆 Celebrating REALTOR® Advocacy
One of the highlights of the week was celebrating REALTOR® advocacy through RPAC. Georgia REALTORS® was proudly recognized with the 2025 NAR President's Cup, a testament to our state's commitment to protecting homeownership and private property rights.

🇺🇸 Representing West Metro
Beyond the meetings, the group had the opportunity to visit several of our nation's historic landmarks and museums - a meaningful reminder of the history, leadership, and freedoms that make advocacy possible.
