Yes, Virginia may send you a property tax bill for your car.

Personal property taxes are handled by your local city or county, so the amount and billing schedule depend on where your vehicle is normally kept.

New residents may also need to:
• Get a Virginia driver’s license
• Title and register their vehicle
• Get an annual safety inspection
• Put license plates on both the front and back
• Register the vehicle with their city or county

This is one of those Virginia welcome gifts nobody puts in the relocation brochure. 😂

3. Seller closing costs: Title, settlement and other transaction-related expenses.

There’s a strange thing that happens when your kids start building lives of their own.

College. Apartments. First jobs. Their own plans.

And somewhere along the way, a thought starts creeping in:

They’re moving forward. Maybe it’s time we do, too.

Not because you have to sell the house or because someone says it’s time to downsize.

But maybe the house that made perfect sense while raising a family doesn’t fit the life you’re living now.

Rooms nobody uses. A yard you’re tired of maintaining. More space than you really need.

And eventually you start wondering:

If we weren’t choosing a home around our kids anymore, what would WE choose?

Today is Thursday the 11th.

If I say:

And before you answer… apparently there are people who believe “this weekend” and “next weekend” mean the same weekend. 😳😂
