In residential markets, there are even shortages of available homes for sale in certain price points. The available industrial warehouse market shows considerably lower inventories than in years past. For raw land, we are seeing decreased marketing times for properly priced properties. The local economy as a whole also continues to improve with several large projects completed or in construction/planning. Voestalpine Group, a car parts manufacturer, opened November 2014 providing approximately 220 jobs. Shaw Industries is opening an approximately $85 million 600,000 square foot plant that will make modular carpet tiles in Adairsville, providing approximately 500 jobs. Toyo Tires announced in December 2013 that they are expanding their existing facility in White, which will create 650 new jobs and a $371 million investment. Aquafil has a $25 million 100 job plant expansion. LakePoint Sporting Community (www.lakepointsports.com) will become the largest and most comprehensive sports vacation destination in the world. Terminus Wake Park is now open at LakePoint and Bass Pro Shops, the roads, and baseball fields are under construction. Surya, which manufactures rugs and home interior products, has announced plans to build a 1,285,000 square foot industrial textile facility in Cartersville.
