Yesterday I showed a home in a downpour… on purpose.
Glasses fogged up. Flats soaked. Cold, soggy North Country “spring” grass.
We walked and talked the perimeter for a good 30 minutes.
Because while a home may show beautifully in the sunlight…
(that’s the seller’s dream)
As a buyer’s agent…I’m not just looking at how it looks.
I’m looking at how it performs.
And rain?
Rain tells the truth.
It shows you: ✅️ Where water pools. ✅️ How the yard drains. ✅️ What’s sloping toward the house… instead of away from it. ✅️ What could become a problem six months from now.
The things you won’t see when everything is dry, bright, and picture-perfect.
Because buying a home isn’t just about falling in love with it…
It’s about understanding it.
Protecting your investment.
And walking into it with clarity not surprises.
That’s the part of this job people don’t always see.
But it matters.
A lot.
If you’re thinking about buying… you want someone who’s willing to walk it with you…
rain or shine.
Message me. ☺️
Let’s make sure you’re seeing the full picture.
