Yesterday I showed a home in a downpour… on purpose.

Glasses fogged up. Flats soaked. Cold, soggy North Country “spring” grass.

We walked and talked the perimeter for a good 30 minutes.

This past week, I took in the ocean from Hollywood Beach to Miami to Key West… and still, nothing felt as good as coming home.

Thirteen years ago, all I wanted was to leave this place behind and try life somewhere new.

As I pulled out of the driveway heading to Tennessee, my uncle leaned in the window and said, “Just remember, all roads lead to home.”

I smiled and thought, “Sure… but not for me.”

I couldn’t wait to get out of this sleepy town.

Ten months later, I was back — breathing deeper, noticing the small things, realizing that home wasn’t something I needed to escape.

It was something I needed to understand.

I love exploring new places, experiencing new things, and chasing adventure… but nothing ever feels as grounding as coming home.

And that’s the heart of what I do now.

Helping people find the place that feels like their home — whether it’s for a season, a duty station, or a lifetime.

Did some last-minute Christmas shopping today with my husband, and it reminded me exactly why I love supporting small, local businesses so fiercely.

We stopped at two of my absolute favorites — Martin’s Greenhouse and Martin’s Country Store — and were surrounded by beautiful, artisan, one-of-a-kind items you simply don’t find at big-box stores.

And yes… this good kitty climbed right up on me, started purring immediately, and insisted on staying for the entire browse 🐾🥰

This is what shopping local feels like: warmth, character, community, and a whole lot of heart. 🫶🏼

✨ Closing Day ✨

This one was a whirlwind—the most last-minute closing I’ve ever had! We only had hours to squeeze in a final walk-through and wrap up lingering paperwork before heading to the closing table. It was such a scramble that I didn’t even have time to pick up my closing gift, grab a sign for the yard, or take a photo until last night.

I’ve known this buyer since high school, so it means the world that he trusted me to help find the perfect home for his beautiful family.

With a few unconventional VA hurdles to clear, Rob Sligar - CrossCountry Mortgage worked tirelessly to get us across the finish line—and I knew if anyone could make it happen, it would be him!

When we started the search, we were looking for homes that checked all the boxes on their wish list—but also ones that could literally fit Shawn’s height. 😅 After a few tours, we found the perfect match, and best of all—we hit our goal: closed before the snowfall. ❄️🏡

In January, I spent a snowy afternoon filming with Encompass Recreation at Dry Hill Ski Area for a segment on The American Dream TV.

This segment meant a lot to me — and not just because it aired back in March (yes, I’m finally sharing it 🙈).

I fiercely support Kylie and her mission with Encompass Recreation. She’s creating more than events — she’s building a culture of inclusion and acceptance, where everyone, regardless of ability or background, can take part in recreational experiences.

It all took place at Dry Hill, which my family loves — Boo, the owner, has done an incredible job with this place, and we’ve had season passes for years.
