The appraisal industry is about to undergo one of its biggest reporting changes in years.
The new UAD 3.6 appraisal report is replacing the legacy forms used for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans, with a mandatory implementation expected by November 2.
Here’s what surprised us: as we’ve been meeting with real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and attorneys across North Carolina and South Carolina, many professionals either haven’t heard about the change or don’t realize how significant it is.
No one knows exactly how smooth the transition will be. New software, workflows, and processes are still being rolled out across the industry. That’s why our team has been training, testing, and completing UAD 3.6 reports ahead of the deadline so we’re ready when the change becomes standard.
Our goal isn’t just to adapt ourselves—we want to help our partners stay informed, avoid surprises, and navigate the transition together.
