The B family found me in the most 2026 way possible — scrolling. They were in Florida, dreaming about North Carolina, and one thing was clear from our very first conversation: they wanted land. Real acreage. Space to breathe.

Over the next six months, we toured a lot of homes. Different towns. Different layouts. Different “almosts.” Each one got us closer to understanding exactly what felt right for them.

And then — the week of Thanksgiving — we walked into the very last home on our list.

It was one of those moments you can’t manufacture. The charm. The character. The acreage. The kind of space that completely shifts your lifestyle from what you’ve always known. It was so different from their Florida routine — and that was the point.

Fast forward to moving week… and they packed up a truck and drove north right between two epic Southeast winter storms. Talk about commitment.

Relocation takes vision, patience, and trust — especially when you’re house hunting from another state. I’m so grateful they trusted me to guide them through every showing, every question, every decision.

As a proud Holly Springs Chamber Board Member, I had the privilege today of helping present a check to the Holly Springs Food Cupboard — $27,000 raised through Grapes, Grains & Giving! And thanks to ongoing matching donations, that number is still growing.

My heart is full. This community showed up in such a big way — sponsors, volunteers, donors, and everyone who attended — thank you. Your support directly impacts families right here in Holly Springs.

While we were presenting the check, we learned that the Food Cupboard is already seeing a surge in families due to the possible suspension of food benefits as early as this weekend. Today’s distribution is expected to be one of their largest yet.

The need is real — and so is the compassion in this town.

We’ll continue working to get food on the shelves and funds directly to the Food Cupboard. When Holly Springs comes together, we feed hope and lift each other up.l
