The CARES Act may be years old, but it continues to impact eviction procedures for many housing providers.

While the federal eviction moratorium has long since expired, the CARES Act's 30-day notice requirement remains in effect for covered properties. Recent court decisions have also raised new questions about how that requirement may interact with state eviction processes in North Carolina and South Carolina.
