I've sat through a lot of networking events. Coffee, business cards, "let's grab lunch sometime."

Most of the time, nothing comes of it. (I'm guilty of it too)

So I'm building something I wish existed: a smaller, intentional group of Casa Grande business owners who actually want to know each other's businesses well enough to send a good referral.

Not just a name, but someone who's genuinely a fit.

This is for owners who treat their business as their main focus, not a side project.

People who want to understand what their fellow members need to receive a good referral, and who'll follow through when they say they will.

Owners who value trust, consistency, and relationships built on more than a handshake.

Earlier this month I sat down with a lovely couple who are renters.

For privacy purposes I will call them Sara and Issacc.

They had never bought a home before, and honestly, They did not think they could.

Their rent had gone up again that year, like it does every year, and they were tired of writing a check to a landlord who would never even thank them for it.

But every time they thought about buying, the same thoughts showed up.

I probably need 20 percent down.

I do not understand any of this.

That is for other people, not me.

So they did what felt safe. They got ready to sign their renewal again.

Then they asked me one question before they did. Is any of that actually true, or is it just what they assumed?

We sat down together and went through it slowly.

A lot of what she believed about buying their first home simply was not accurate.

There were programs they had never heard of.

The math was not what they expected.

And the part that scared them the most, not knowing where to even start, turned out to be the easiest part to fix.

A lot of buyers are wondering the same thing right now:
