We are finally back home in Arizona!!!

A little over FOUR weeks away will make anyone home sick, but this trip stretched the boundaries of even a “Dawdy Vaca”!!

We loaded up all the youngest daughter’s possessions in two cars and a U-Haul trailer and drove from AZ to FL!! Then we drove from FL to NE to visit family and attend the wedding of a friend. After an extra week for chores and extended family time we packed up the youngest boy & took the long weekend to drive back from NE to AZ.

Trip statistics:
We drove 5751 miles, through 15 states. Seeing roughly 30% of the US on this trip alone!!

We spent 118.5 hours in the vehicle (nearly 5 straight days). But really it was 9 full days of butts in seats.

For just one truck we used 451.5 gallons of gas ($1700 @ $3.77 average). That doesn’t count the girls car to FL or the boys car to AZ. I think the highest price for gas we saw was near $4.75/gal.

Finally adjusting to the humidity and high temps of a Florida summer, after five days of high 90° & 70-90% humidity, the hair is curling tightly today… just like my emotions!

Took us 5 days to drive AZ to FL, going through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama & finally the Panhandle of Florida!! Just to drop the baby girl off for the start of her next chapter at FSU.

Tears loading… proud of her as she steps into this new space… far from family, friends and all things familiar. May the city surround her with new experiences and great adventures as she grows intellectually and as a person into the woman she is destined to be. May all her guardian angles guide her and keep her safe far away from her Mamma & Daddy.

Love the flexibility of my chosen career that I could be with her to start this journey (along with her dad and the baby brother). 🔑🏠

💕 Fridays are for FUN! 💕

A few little “pop-by” surprises are packed up and heading out today! 🎁

One of my favorite parts of real estate is staying connected long after the keys are handed over. Sometimes that means answering a housing question, or sharing a resource like who can help with my new drip line… and sometimes it means showing up with a little something just for FUN. 😊
