Have you considered a career in Real Estate?
Here is what you need to know.

To start:
1. You must be at least 18 years of age.
2. You must be of good moral character
3. Complete 40 hours of approved Pre-Licensing education
4. Pass the course final exam.
After you complete all the course materials, meet the minimum time requirement, and pass the practice exam, there is a course final exam. The minimum passing score is 70%
5.Select a sponsoring broker.
6.Start the application.
To apply for your Michigan real estate license with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA)
6. Pass the Michigan real estate examination-PSI administers the Michigan real estate licensing exam. This 115 question test is comprised of two portions, covering both state and national requirements

Trying to figure out where to start it ishelpful to know your credit score or how to improve your credit.
1. Make your payments on time 35% of your credit score is based on making payments on time.
2. Keep your balances under 30% on your credit cards
3.Be cautious of opening new accounts. Hard inquiries may hurt your credit score
4. Check your credit score often. Review in reporting errors made that can impact your credit or if some one steals your identity an opens up credit in your name.

Finding the right real estate agent:
Being a realtor is all about building a relationship with our clients. Its important that when looking for a realtor they posses some of the following skills:

Time management skills - there are a lot of moving pieces when working with buyers and sellers; being able to meet deadlines is important when presenting offers, and submitting time sensitive information i.e. home inspections, appraisals appointments etc

Negotiation skills - understanding the market, making sure our clients do not over pay for a property or as a seller list their property over or below comps in the area. As an agent having the ability to hammer out fair and favorable price on a property.
this goes hand in hand with Real Estate Knowledge.

Honesty and Integrity as a realtor my job is to be truthful and transparent when handling a property sale. As your agent I will be transparent about how as the agent determined the price. You should be able to see which resources were used to estimate the value and how the amenities of the listing impact the price.

Make sure you are working with a Licensed Realtor; always asked for our the agent number. Then you can double check the name and agent number on your state’s real estate commission website.
