Okay, this one might start an argument. But let's see what your priorities are. 👀

You’re choosing your next home, but there’s a catch:

You can only keep three.

❌ Formal dining room
❌ Bathtub
❌ Walk-in closet
❌ Garage

Which one are you giving up?

And don't just tell me which one, tell me why. 👇

I’m curious what people around Casper would choose.

Thinking about making improvements before selling?

It can be tempting to start checking projects off your list, but spending more money doesn't always mean getting more value back.

Some updates may make a home more appealing to buyers, while others may not have the impact you expect.

Before taking on a project, it's worth asking:
Will this actually matter to a buyer?

The goal isn't necessarily to make your home brand new. It's to focus your time and money where they can make the most sense.

If you're considering selling and want to talk through which improvements may be worth considering, contact Steve Freel at 307-259-1276.

A home can have the right number of square feet and still not feel like the right home.

Sometimes it’s about how the space is laid out. Sometimes it’s the natural light, the flow between rooms, the storage, the backyard, or simply how the home feels when you walk through the door.

More space doesn’t always mean better space.

When you're looking at homes, think beyond the number on the listing.
Ask yourself: Could I actually see my life working here?

If you're looking for a home that fits the way you live, contact Steve Freel at 307-259-1276.

You get one extra room. What are you making it?

A home office for those work-from-home days?
A guest room for family and friends?
A home gym so you have no excuse?
Or a space for the hobby you've always wanted to make room for?

The best part is, there's no wrong answer. A home should have space that works for your life.

So let's hear it, if you had one extra room in your home, what would you turn it into?

If you want to talk about finding a home with the space that fits your lifestyle, contact Steve Freel at 307-259-1276.

Getting an accepted offer is a big moment, but it's not the finish line.

There's still plenty happening behind the scenes before the keys are handed over.

Questions need answers. Details need to be reviewed. Timelines need to stay on track, and sometimes unexpected things come up that need to be worked through.

That's one of the parts of real estate people don't always see.

The goal is to keep moving things forward and help make the process as smooth as possible from contract to closing.

If you want to know more about what happens after an offer is accepted, contact Steve Freel at 307-259-1276.

🏡 A Home Is Part of Something Bigger

When we talk about real estate, it's easy to focus on the homes that are for sale, the latest numbers, or what a property has to offer.

But every home is part of something bigger.

It's part of a neighborhood, a community, and a place where people work, spend time, raise families, and build their lives.

That's one of the things I appreciate about working in Casper. Real estate gives me the opportunity to see not only the properties, but also the community that surrounds them.

Because where you live is about more than the four walls of a home.

It's about the place you get to call home.

Wishing everyone a great Friday and a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the time with family, friends, and the people who make Casper feel like home.

When looking at a property, the address tells you where the home is. But it doesn't tell you everything about what living there might actually be like.

The surrounding roads, nearby services, access to the places you visit regularly, the character of the neighborhood, and changes happening in the surrounding community can all become part of the bigger picture.

These are details that may not always stand out in a listing photo or a quick look at a map, but they can be important when you're considering whether a property truly fits your day-to-day life.

That's why I believe it's worth looking beyond the property itself.

A home has an address, but that address comes with a whole community around it.

When you're buying a home, it's easy to focus on the house itself.

The kitchen.
The bedrooms.
The garage.
The finishes.

But there's another part of the decision that's just as important: what everyday life will look like once you live there.

How will the location fit into your routine?
What will your commute look like?
Are the places you visit regularly within reach?
Does the surrounding area fit the way you want to live?

A beautiful home can check a lot of boxes, but the right home should also make sense for your day-to-day life.

That's why I encourage buyers to look beyond the walls and consider the bigger picture.

The house is what you're buying. The lifestyle is what you're living.

Casper/Natrona County International Airport is moving forward with a major infrastructure upgrade. ✈️✈️

Construction has begun on a new 157-foot air-traffic-control tower, replacing the existing 50-foot tower that was built in 1954. The project is expected to cost just under $30 million, with completion anticipated in early 2028. On August 18, USDA also announced a $3 million grant for the project.

The new tower is part of a long-term investment in airport infrastructure supporting passenger travel, cargo, and business aviation. For a community like Casper, these investments help maintain the infrastructure that connects people, businesses, and services to the broader region.

As a REALTOR® and a Casper resident, I think it's important to pay attention to developments like this. They provide another piece of the bigger picture of how our community is investing in its infrastructure and preparing for the years ahead.

It's one more step in the continued investment in the infrastructure that helps keep Casper connected.

Buying a home involves more than saving for the down payment.

There are other expenses buyers may need to plan for along the way, including closing costs, inspections, moving expenses, and potential repairs or improvements after moving in.

Understanding these costs ahead of time can help you build a more realistic picture of what buying a home may require financially.

The goal isn't just to find a home you love.

It's to make sure the purchase fits comfortably within your overall budget.

If you're planning to buy, what part of the process would you like to understand better?

Drop your questions below. Let's talk about them. 👇
