We have been made aware of several instances where folks are being scammed into making a deposit, viewing properties, or even taking possession of a rental so we wanted to share with you all a few tips from us on how to avoid getting scammed.
- All of our rental applications are on our rental website only - www.thebest.rentals and they are $40 per person over the age of 18 for the credit & background checks.
- A licensed agent will always meet someone at one of our rental properties in order to walk through them with you to answer any questions and gain access to the property.
- We will NEVER ask for a deposit up front - we get the security deposit from you when you have scheduled an appointment with us to sign a lease in our office located in Casper.
- We NEVER post our rentals on FB Marketplace or Craigslist. They will be on local rental group pages with links to our website, and posted on zillow.com, rent.com also with links to our website.
- If there are ever any questions on our rental properties, please call our office, and we are happy to answer any questions you have 307-224-1523
If a rental property is very large with extremely low rent, or the deposit they are asking for seems low, or $500 app fees - please be suspicious of it and try searching the property out elsewhere to make sure it is a legitimate listing - there are lots of scams going around!
