I put some bottle water in the freezer for when (not if) the power goes out. I was here for Hurricane Charlie and it was horrible. I was soooo scared when the weather got real bad. This is suppose to be WORSE.

if I had known it would be this close to a cat 5 I would have left and went to Pt St Lucie. Take care of yourselves. They say the most injuries happen after the storm with fumes from generators, power line electrocutions, water soaked branches coming down on people etc. The message is don’t be a hero. Sit your but in the house and wait for help. Be wary of scams. God Bless✝️

Did you know the Christmas season actually lasts until January 6?

If you're familiar with the 12 Days of Christmas song, you might be surprised to learn that the twelve days actually start on Christmas Day, meaning Christmas time actually extends through January 6, which is known as Three Kings Day.

The Gospel of Matthew tells the story of the three kings (also known as the three wise men) Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar who traveled to Bethlehem to greet baby Jesus with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Although the birth of Jesus is celebrated on Christmas Day, the three Kings didn't actually reach him until twelve days later—which is why Three Kings Day is celebrated on the 12th day of Christmas.

This is also why it's tradition to leave your Christmas tree up through January 6—because the Christmas season doesn't end until after Three Kings Day has been celebrated.

The Mobile Home Market may be rising in some areas thanks to Millennials

Thanks to inflated housing prices younger buyers are going after mobile homes instead of single family homes. According to realtor.com “LendingTree compared the median prices of mobile homes and single-family homes in all states except for Hawaii using the most recent U.S. Census Bureau data available between 2014 and 2019. Analysts found that while mobile homes are far less expensive than single-family homes, their median values escalated faster in 27 states than that of single-family homes over the same five-year period.”

You’ve found your dream home, your offer is accepted and your closing date is 20 days away. We know your mind is on furnishing your house and buying supplies. And you’re probably a little overwhelmed with all that goes into moving. Don’t jeopardize your chance at a successful closing by making one of these errors.

Here’s what NOT to do before closing on your new home:

Change jobs
Increase debts
Apply for new credit
Move money without a paper trail
Skip a payment or make a late payment for a bill
Spend your savings
Buy big-ticket items

Lenders will continue to check your credit, income and job stability up to just before closing to see if anything has changed that may impact you qualifying.
