🥶Don't insulate your attic before Air Sealing it with Foam!

Older homes have damp, matted down insulation with mice🐭 excrement, bird nests, old construction material and mold that should be removed. Once removed all gap, cracks, voids in the building envelope ceiling should be covered and/or sealed with spray foam insulation to prevent heat loss and cold drafts into your home.

Fiberglass insulation can be used but is fluffy and not dense so cold air can migrate causing insulation failure. We prefer Cellulose at Home Performance Solutions which is much more dense with a higher R-value.

R-60 is what the EPA recommends for our cold Environment in Denver Metro Area which is 21" of Fiberglass and 16" of Cellulose.

Foam sealed insulation will prevent moisture and airflow through wall and ceiling areas and serve as a v***r barrier. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED. We are looking for a Full Time- New Construction Field Energy Rating Inspector. The job is in the field, work from home with a company car, Tablet and equipment. Requires lifting and testing of equipment up to 30lbs and a fast paced production builder environment. Training will be provided and a test must be Passed to test homes which typically takes 2 weeks. Some overtime weeks due to new construction closings.We perform duct blaster testing on HVAC equipment to test for air leakage at the rough stage as well as taking pictures at Insulation inspections. Blower door testing on new homes at the final stage to issue a certificate of Energy Efficiency at closing. We pay Holidays from start, (not all Federal) and also pay 2 weeks vacation every year, after 6 month earned time period.
