I am not the original author of this post…I'm resharing. Perfect after facing a ruthless rejection in my own in the last week.

“At 19, she was still Stefani Germanotta — not yet the global phenomenon known as Lady Gaga.
Her stage? Cramped bars in the underbelly of New York City, where neon lights flickered and cigarette smoke curled through the air.
She poured her soul into demos, spent every dime she had, and walked them from label to label, chasing a dream they couldn’t yet see.
