We were organizing my parents' photos and found this gem!

That's our dad, back in his Gordon Hartman Homes days - blueprints in hand, same job, same haircut, and yes, same hair lady (shout out to Debora at Shear Image Salon).

Ever wonder what happens to all the furniture and decor when a model home sells?

At Texas Homes it’s actually pretty thoughtful. The new owner gets first choice on keeping pieces they love. What’s left moves to new models or gets used to stage move-in ready homes. Nothing goes to waste.

We just finished moving out of our Potranco Acres model and it got us thinking about what’s next for the community.

After more than two decades, it's time to celebrate one of the best!

Ed Garbett and I go all the way back to 2002 when we worked together in sales. After a full career in the Air Force as a recruiter, Ed brought that same people-first energy straight into real estate and never missed a beat. When he came on as my sales assistant in 2019, I didn't just gain help, I gained a partner.

Real estate is hard. There are days when nothing goes right and the frustration is real. Ed was always there, not just to keep things running, but as a sounding board, a steady voice, and someone who genuinely cared about doing things right.

He brought that same energy to everyone he met. If you ever met Ed, you know exactly what I mean.

The entire Texas Homes family is going to miss you more than words can say, Ed. Wishing you, your family, and this next chapter everything you deserve.

We took Dad to Topgolf.

Now he has a summer pass and a standing tee time.🏌️

Some guys clock out and disappear. Dad clocks out and shows up - for the yard, for the grandkids, for whatever us kids are into that week. Apparently that now includes golf.

He also answered two work calls while he was there. Because that’s also just Dad.

37 years in San Antonio real estate and he’s still picking up. 📲

(He hit well, for the record. Hasn’t played in 20 years. We’re choosing not to make a big deal of it. 🤣)
