In Maryland, a town name doesn’t always tell you the whole story. Some communities span multiple counties, which can mean differences in schools, property taxes, services, and even which local resources are available to you.

That’s why if you’re house hunting, don’t just search by the town name. Check the exact address. 📍

When you’re house hunting, don’t just visit a neighborhood once. Go back at different times of day and on different days of the week to get a real feel for what it’s like to live there.

Here’s what to look for:

7 AM: School bus routes, morning commute, and parking. Test the driveway or see what street parking is really like.

3 PM: Delivery trucks, afternoon noise, and neighborhood activity—kids playing, dogs out, people coming and going, etc.

9 PM: Are the streetlights working? Are the sidewalks well lit? Is the street quiet or still crowded?

Of course, adjust these times based on when local schools dismiss and when you’d normally leave for or return from work.

A house can look perfect during a 30-minute showing. The neighborhood may tell a very different story. 🏡
