Hailing from the Hudson Valley area of upstate New York, MariaElena has two children and lives in Cave Creek. “I love being next to the mountain, next to the natural beauty. This is such a tight-knit, real community. We both have so many personal relationships with fellow business owners in the area. We have such an eclectic group of people who mingle well because we all love it up here,” MariaElena said. About Tom Fulton

Tom grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was involved in real estate development and his family actually owns Rancho Manana! In addition to being Augie’s fur daddy he is married to Noel. The couple shares eight children. Tom has lived in both Cave Creek and Carefree, and he would be happy to recommend either quaint town. He’s got a reputation for being an incredible negotiator, so clients know they will be getting the most equitable deal when they pick Tom to represent them.

This month, in our ongoing series highlighting local landmarks, we’re exploring the fascinating history of Rancho Mañana, as shared by the Cave Creek Museum!

"Rancho Mañana has been a cornerstone in the story of Cave Creek. What started as a stagecoach and U.S. Cavalry stop later became a sheep shearing station under James Houck before transforming into the Howard Ranch. In the early 1940s, Romy and Jean Loudermilk named it Rancho Mañana. By 1945, Edward 'Ted' and China Loring ran it as a dude ranch until the mid-1950s. The property later evolved with residential development and the addition of Cave Creek’s only golf course. In 1994, the Allred family rebuilt the golf course and revitalized the resort, creating a lasting community hub."

From its roots as a stagecoach and cavalry stop to a sheep shearing station, Rancho Mañana has become a premier desert destination with a golf course, resort, and thriving community. ⛳
