I was born and raised in Cedar City, UT, and have been a law enforcement officer for over 15 years. I started my career with the Uintah County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy, while simultaneously working for Naples City where I was promoted to the rank of Corporal and presented with the ‘Distinguished Service Award’. I relocated with my family back to my home town of Cedar City in 2005. I have
been married to a wonderful woman, Rhonda, for 23 years; we have 2 teenage children and recently adopted a 5 year old little boy who we love dearly. As a certified EMT, I worked on the Iron County Ambulance for 3 years. I joined the Iron County Sheriff’s Office in 2007 where I hold the rank of Corporal; I am an active member of the SWAT team, a Fi****ms instructor and successfully completed the ‘Hell Week’ training. In September 2010, I was awarded the ‘Medal of Valor’ for bravery and actions in the line of duty when faced with a mentally unstable subject armed with a knife. In December of 2013, I was awarded one of the highest honors of ” Medal of Honor” after being involved in a shooting in Kanarravile. The vast opportunity I have had over the years to meet and talk with my fellow residents here in Iron County has been a pleasure. I feel any opportunity to represent the people of Iron County is just another step of service in my life.
