Heads up local folks, weather is going to change.
Current model seems to predict a hard freeze the end of the week with temps in the 20s.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, BRING YOUR PETS INSIDE.

If you are new to home ownership please winterize your exterior pipes, be prepared to leave your interior faucets dripping and follow these other hints. Where possible, safely leave cabinets under sinks open to allow warm air in. If you have kids or pets, you may need to consider how to do this so they don't have access to harmful chemicals. One way is to open slightly then use a zip tie to secure so they can't fully open.

Do not use generators or gas stoves in improperly ventilated areas.

Make sure all space heaters are far from combustible items, have cords in good condition and are not on extension cords.

If you have a pier and beam house, be sure all crawl space vents are covered.

Make sure smoke detectors are operable with good batteries and if you have gas appliances, always have multiple carbon monoxide detectors.

If you use a chimney, please make sure it is serviced, clear of creosote buildup and dampers are operable.

DEAR EVERYBODY~~~~
Recently I was made aware of a scam and it is important you know this.
A friend reached out after she found a rental listing on Facebook Marketplace. The person who listed it was even able to show the home.
It turns out, however, that the person had gotten the code to the door fraudulently and then created the fake listing, bilking interested parties out of application fees and is still trying to get her to give him deposits.
PLEASE be vigilant about giving money over to someone if you can not be certain they are legit. You can reach out to me any time if you have concerns or just want to see if I can verify the info you are being given.
