I finally went to visit the 3D-printed homes from Lennar in Georgetown at Wolf Ranch. I didn't hate them! I had lots of questions for the sales office, of course. These homes come with solar panels, but they do not seem to be customized in terms of number of panels. All the walls, interior and exterior, are printed. You can hang pictures on them. The insulation is foam. There are no baseboards or framing other than the trusses in the roof. The actual roof is metal. The heating and cooling vents are much smaller; you can see them in the photos. The walls don't feel like concrete to me.
If anyone is interested in touring, let me know and I would love to take you. They are going to open another subdivision with their own floorplans on wider lots.
