The completion and compliance of stairwell pressurization tests are critical life safety measures that keeps smoke OUT and escape routes CLEAR during a fire. By maintaining higher air pressure inside the stairwell, smoke is pushed away, giving occupants a safe, breathable path to exit and firefighters a clearer way in.

Continental’s knowledge of these tests helped a management team ensure routes were clear and pressure in the stairwells is held. We achieve this by properly sealing penetrations and adjusting hardware to ensure stairwell doors operated and latched correctly.

Doing this yearly helps makes sure residents have a clean and clear exit during emergencies. As far as SMOKE is concerned. “We will we will “block you”!

This is an early flyover of a multi-family project in Denton.

After two inexperienced framing teams didn’t work out, Two Brothers Builders entered the mix. They worked through the rough terrain with the CC team members involved and completed the full framing scope.

Projects tend to have their problems and hurdles. The hurdles were cleared and this became a great learning opportunity for all involved.
