5 years ago, my friend & our project manager, took me up on a lift to sign the steel beam that had been installed in the new Marion YMCA while it was being constructed in 2020. Fast forward, I got the honor of getting to go up again to sign the beam in what will be the newest YMCA on the SW side of Cedar Rapids!! Thank you Brandon for remembering that fun day 5 years ago, and for offering to recreate it in present day! It’s so amazing to see how much our local YMCA association has grown! Be sure to check out the Prairie Summit YMCA once it’s open in 2026, it’s going to be incredible!
