Over the past two years I’ve been on one of the most unexpected journeys of my life.
The decision that altered my trajectory in life from that of aimless mediocrity to a missile with a target was an unexpected one.
I didn’t realize how much at the time, but after the birth of our third child in the summer of 2023. We were struggling.
Desperate to make things better, I made the bold deciton to quit my job, not for just another gig. But to be Mr.Mom.
I stayed home with my three young children for 8 months. The best and most rewarding experience of my life.
Obviously giving up that income made my wife, Amy, and I evaluate every decision in our lives.
Slashing subscriptions, 100% home cooked meals, and no travel. Might sound miserable to some, but worth it for us.
Everything in life is temporary, this was just another season of life.
One night just after Thanksgiving that year, as I was sitting on the couch pounding beers and watching football I asked myself what the hell I was doing?!
This isn’t the way I want to live, I don’t want my kids to have this core memory of their dad always holding a beer.
So that night, holding my 1 year old son, admittedly under the influence, I decided I wasn’t going to drink anymore.
Since that night I’ve been laser focused on becoming the 2.0 version of myself.
Embarking on a real estate career is just as much a personal development journey as it is a financial one.
The challenges I’ve faced, the fears I’ve overcome, and the people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting are more rewarding than I could’ve imagined.
Two years later. To the day, here I am two years Sober. Full of an abundance of happiness and thankful for the journey!
