Spring Lodge is hosting a Beach Yoga session on Tuesday, August 5 at 8:00 am on their beach. There will be some extra yoga mats on hand but try to bring your own (or at least a beach towel). The rain date will be Wednesday, August 6 at 8:00am. Get there a little early to pick your spot on the beach.
No charge for the session, but donations to the Travis Mills Foundation are encouraged. Last year, LCI donations were over $1800. Feedback from previous sessions has been very positive. Turnout is typically 30+.
Your instructor will be Mike Keighley. Mike is an Army veteran who flew Chinook helicopters in his deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. Today, he is one of the leading practitioners in the country for teaching adaptive yoga for recalibrated veterans through the Travis Mills Foundation and PATHH.
Mike specializes in developing yoga sessions for veterans missing limbs, PTSD… with the focus being on Post Traumatic Growth. So, if your knee or back hurts – YOU can STILL do yoga and Mike will help you learn how. His sessions skip the incense and chanting stuff you probably don’t want anyway.
