The option period is not only about inspections.

If the repair request changes credits, price, closing costs, or timing, the financing needs another look before signatures go around.

Small contract edits can create real mortgage paperwork problems when nobody checks them.

A pre-approval letter should be useful, not just pretty enough to attach to an offer.

Useful means income reviewed, assets checked, credit understood, program fit confirmed, and likely property costs pressure-tested.

If the letter was built from guesses, the risk usually shows up later.
