There's something about the first night in a new house.
The boxes are everywhere. Nothing is where it belongs. The kids are sleeping on mattresses on the floor because the bed frames are still in the truck.
And somehow — it already feels like home.
I've had that first night more times than I can count. And every single time, there's this quiet moment where you look around at the chaos and think: we did it. We're here. This is ours.
That feeling doesn't get old.
If you're in the middle of a move right now — or about to be — I want you to know that the chaos is temporary. The feeling on the other side of it is worth every box.
