*The Artisan Corridor in Central Point was established by the City in 2008, and it extends from I-5 exit 33 along East Pine Street, continuing on Front Street/Route 99 out to I-5 exit 35. Lots to see along the Corridor, including its crowning jewel and oldest establishment, the Rogue Creamery.

Ever wonder how folks got from Medford to Central Point to Gold Hill and beyond before we had Route 99 or Interstate 5? Here is a map of Central Point from 1911. Travel from town to town was via the County Road from Medford which entered Central Point (the population of CP at the time was just a little over 1,000) connecting with 4th Street, continuing north on 4th Street to turn left at Manzanita Street, which continued to connect again with the County Road heading west to Gold Hill.

The majority of traffic was primarily by horse/horse-drawn vehicles; there were only about 250 to 300 automobiles in the entire Rogue Valley at the time, the majority of which were in Medford.

Route 99 through Central Point was not completed until the 1920s. Interstate 5 through Central Point, Oregon was completed in the mid‑1960s, when the final Rogue Valley segments of I‑5 opened to traffic, replacing U.S. Route 99 as the main north–south corridor.

We are pleased to support D.A.R.E. and provide our parking lot at 300 E. Pine St for today's "D.A.R.E. to Cruise" Car Show and Cruise. Our tenant, Crater Cafe, at 327 E, Pine St, will be open tonight from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with ice cream treats, organic coffees and teas and real fruit smoothies and locally made soft drinks. We are excited to welcome Rogue Wear to our little stretch of Central Point's Artisan Corridor in the Cowley Building 216 E. Pine Street. This is a wonderful addition to the ever-growing attractions in historic Downtown Central Point.
