The 16th Annual Hybrids for Profit Bull & Female sale was held April 11 at Aberdeen Livestock, Aberdeen, South Dakota. Hybrids for Profit is a combined effort of Justin Holt Cattle, Wessington Springs, SD; Rock ChiAngus, Long Valley, SD; Sexton Cattle, Ainsworth, IA; and Beckett Ranch, Miller, SD. Together, these firms have several decades of producing Chiangus seedstock that work across diverse environments and production goals. This year's offering consisted of a stout, muscular set of yearling and 18-month-old bulls, along with a beautiful package of open heifers destined for the donor pen. Though developed individually, the cattle fit together very well and offered easy calving, fast-growing, efficient cattle with muscle, eye appeal and carcass quality demanded in today's markets.
