🌳🚒 A huge thank you to the people who show up when the rest of us are just waking up. 🚒🌳
Around 5:00 this morning, I was sitting out back in the dark with my dogs, enjoying the quiet before the day began, when I heard an unmistakable crashing sound.
You know that old question, "If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
Well...I can officially confirm the answer is yes. Yes, it does. 😆
That tree came down across our dead-end road, making access in and out difficult for many of us. Yet within a short time, our local public service crews were there doing what they do best.
Thank you to the fire department, Hamilton Township crews, the sewer authority, the power company, and everyone else who responded. More than five hours later, they are still out there working.
It's easy to take these everyday heroes for granted until you're reminded just how much we rely on them.
Today, I'm grateful for the people who don't hesitate to answer the call—often before the sun is even up.
