June Recap🎂🏓📚

What a fun month in our community! We loved celebrating our May & June birthdays with charcuterie, cake, sparkling wine, and great company while making our residents feel extra special.

We also had a great time at our Pickleball & Pops event with King of Pops, bringing together friendly competition and sweet treats on a warm day.

Our Trivia Night at Brews & Hops was another highlight, with residents bringing their competitive spirit and Team Blitz taking home the win.

One of our favorite highlights was seeing our book club continue to grow, with more residents showing interest and joining in. We love watching our community connect through shared stories and conversations. Stop by our library, pick up a book, and feel free to share one too.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this month. We can’t wait to see what July brings!

It takes a lot of hard work to keep our communities beautiful and running smoothly year-round, and we couldn't do it without our service teams!

Our teams around the country wrapped up another successful last week! We are so proud of our associates coming together to help out their local communities by providing meals to people experiencing food insecurity and cleaning up spaces that are built to provide assistance to those in need.

April was one for the books at Attiva Peachtree! We loved spending the month celebrating our residents with three amazing events. We kicked things off by celebrating our March & April birthdays, showed some love to our planet on Earth Day, and wrapped things up with Music Bingo & Wine Down Wednesday. The energy, laughter, and connections made at each event truly reminded us what community is all about. Thank you to our residents for showing up and making every event so special—See you at Cinco de Mayo!

We enjoyed celebrating you and wish you many more! 🎂🎈

This is an opportunity for us to reflect not only on the theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” but also on how Cortland is one of countless organizations whose members are connected to the history this month celebrates.

This month, we’re highlighting six of our associates who shared their relation to a Black history maker — from prolific and award‑winning musicians Billy Strayhorn and Oscar Sheppard, to historic baseball player Dennis “Bose” Biddler, to Dr. Edwin A. Thompson, founder of Atlanta Metropolitan State College, and to William Still, an abolitionist credited as the father and primary architect of the Underground Railroad.

Valentine's Day at Cortland 💘

02/09/2026

There's nothing better than starting off the year with a sense of calm and clarity. This inspired our winter art installation at our Community Support Center in Atlanta. It serves as a visual deep-breath, allowing viewers to take some time and observe the natural beauty of art and slow down.

We currently have the work of artist Sensei Elliston Roshi on display with the help of KAI LIN ART. Elliston, who is currently an Abbot of the Atlanta Soto Zen Center, explores the Taoist and Zen ideals of harmony in action. By surrendering to the medium, he allows "inevitable accidents" to reveal the beauty of the natural laws all around us.

The usage of sumi ink, which is traditional in the use of Zen artistry, works together with the water-based pigments and how it presents itself on different materials like paper, plastic, and painted board.

Kai Lin's art serves as a reminder to take a moment, and make time for peace away from rush of the world.
