September 1st marked our 10 year anniversary for our cooperative. We enjoyed a day of celebrating starting with a song during our Tuesday morning coffee time. Then a delicious catered dinner at the Mississippi Crossing event center, followed by musical entertainment by Gary LaRue. Thank you to our social committee!!

It’s NOT a fish tale . . . Steve was on our dock “fishing” this morning and didn’t get a bite!

However, during one of his casts he caught another line in the river. Long story short . . . attached to a large piece of drift wood was a hooded sweatshirt and a very nice rod and reel 😳😳. You just never know what’s under that murky water 🐠🎣😉

A few days ago I heard airplanes circling over our building and making several passes, so I took a couple pictures, and Bob S our resident airplane enthusiast shared with me what they were 😊

“They are AT-6 Texans. It was a very important training aircraft in WWII, and for a couple of decades afterward.
It's hard to conceive of this training effort, but the U.S. military trained over 250,000 pilots during WWII. About half of them who were destined to be fighter pilots would have flown the AT-6.”

You just never know what you’ll see over our beautiful river setting.
