A higher vacancy rate means low demand and a lot of supply. Hence, landlords will tend to lower their rental rates to attract tenants.

Rising interest rates might affect the rental market in other ways. With high interest rates, potential homebuyers might have difficulty getting a loan, giving more pressure on the rental market.

It doesn’t have to take a lot of time and money to make a difference — even small acts of kindness can help in a big way.

So as we celebrate , extend your generosity with these 5 ways of giving back:

Give time. Do some volunteer work. Look for organizations in your community that need help. Most organizations, especially during donating time, need all the help they can get to sort out and pack donations

Give old items at home. Renovating your home soon? Maybe it’s time to let go of some items at home and donate them to organizations that can put them to good use again.

Give vegetables. Veggie lover? If you grow your own vegetables, share some to your local food bank. If you don’t have a gardening space, consider starting a local community garden in your area.
