U.S. Home Prices Ease Across Major Metros
We’re seeing a shift in the housing market: in Mid-Q3, price per square foot dropped year-over-year in 36 of the 50 largest U.S. metro areas. Nationwide, that same measure eased by about 2%, marking the tenth consecutive month of softening. Sellers are responding to a slower pace by adjusting asking prices more sharply—buyers and sellers are meeting closer to the middle. With mortgage rates still high, affordability remains a real challenge, especially in markets that soared during the pandemic. According to economists, some of those boom markets are now giving back a bit of their gains, thanks in part to inventory levels sitting above pre-pandemic norms.
As someone who sees every transaction as a puzzle that deserves to be solved the right way, I’m keeping a close eye on these changes for my Arizona clients. In moments like this, a straightforward approach and honest guidance matter more than ever. My focus stays on helping you find the right fit—no shortcuts, no giving up. That’s how I get you home.
