For a long time, I couldn’t bring myself to make this post. The pain was just too deep. Anyone who has loved a dog knows they’re never just a dog, they are family, your shadow, your comfort and loyal companion.

Toby was all of that and so much more to me. He was my fur baby, my loyal friend, and my little healer who came into my life when I needed him the most. I rescued him, but he truly ended up rescuing me.

He filled my days with unconditional love, silly moments, cuddles and those quiet peaceful times that were so healing and the type of happiness and joy that only a dog can give. Losing him left a space in my heart that will always belong to him.

Today, instead of only feeling the loss, I’m choosing to celebrate the love, memories and incredible bond we shared. I will always be grateful that our paths found each other.

Sunday Symposium in Santa Barbara with

I’m at a loss for words of how much I appreciate the work that the minimalist do and how that’s changed my life in so many ways. From the living space I now reside in, to even how I view the world as a whole. And it all started with their original documentary The Minimalist. I too was “stuck” in the rut we all get stuck on, in trying to keep up with the Jones’s.

The trap of status and consumerism. I was trying to fulfill my inner child’s needs that weren’t met as a kid. Filling that void with things when in reality, I just need to give my inner child the chance at having the life experiences in this present moment. That meant I had to show up fully present for myself.

It’s a deeper kind of healing that comes with letting go. Since everything is energy, you let go of the energy that no longer serves you. But you let it go with love 💕 and thank everything for serving its purpose when it did. “thank you jacket for keeping me warm and serving your purpose with me. May our part serve someone else that same way you served me” … it’s a farewell with love in your letting go. It’s a thank you for the purpose it served in your life. And it’s a release and letting go of that item or whatever you are letting go so that it can then go service its purpose with someone else. It’s a lifecycle not a recycle ♻️.

OMG! I just had the most mouthwatering burger 🍔 ever! It’s perfectly delicious 😋 and I wanted to eat 5 more!

Come by every Monday at T**a T**a Brewery on Thompson Blvd by Tony’s Pizzeria from 4:00p - 8:00p and get your Smash 💥 Burger 🍔. I highly recommend the IYKYK Double-Double Burger. It’s the best burger I’ve had in a very long time.

I couldn’t let this day go by without acknowledging my rescue dog and fur baby Toby on National Rescue Dog Day. I rescued Toby in June 2021 as an 8 year old senior dog (Deer-head long-haired Chihuahua Mix) not realizing that in many ways, he was rescuing me. Hence the long time question …. Who Rescued Who? Toby is a very special dog full of love and cuddles. It’s so interesting how having a dog can help you see life from a whole different perspective. I’ve learned so much from him. I love 💗 Toby 🐕 with all my heart and he brings so much joy into my life and I give him as much love 💕 as he gives me and so much more!
