I know a lot of people are not happy about the new location and last year it was such a fail. Event created so “much traffic”, it was “so crowded”, “not organised”, a ton of complaints was received, yet it’s happening again this weekend! Two days in a row at the Ventura Fairgrounds and they are providing free shuttles again. To avoid all this traffic, please take a shuttle. 36th Annual California Strawberry Festival at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Blvd, Ventura. The festival features over 150 artists and crafters, a Ninja Nation obstacle course, live entertainment on three stages, carnival rides, a “build-your-own” strawberry shortcake and more. Admission is $15; Military & seniors - $10; Youth 5 to 12 - $8; Children to age 4 - free. Limited parking $20. per vehicle. 6 Locations for free shuttle to and from this event: Ventura County Government Center at 800 S. Victoria Avenue, Ventura, (on the Hill Street side); Pacific View Mall, 3301 E. Main Street, Ventura, (behind the vacant Sears building); Oxnard High School, 3400 Gonzales Road, Oxnard; DeAnza Middle School, 2060 Cameron Street, Ventura; Seaward & Harbor, 955 S. Seaward Avenue, Ventura; and State Beach parking lot at 901 San Pedro Street, Ventura (where parking is $10.) (Event continues tomorrow, also, from 10am to 6:30pm) Check out and take advantage of the Ventura Amtrak - (pick up and drop off station near fairgrounds entrance).
