on University, Stephanie went on to become a Virginia Certified Horticulturist, a career she dedicated herself to for two decades. Through horticulture, she gained the insight to quickly learn her clients’ likes and dislikes, and to connect with them about their new property. Stephanie harbors a passion for plants, and she completely immerses herself in the ever flowing, flourishing and changing environment of this historically rich region. As an active board member and the Treasurer for the Northern Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association, Stephanie continues to be a devoted “plant lady”, helping both the association and eager clients who want to learn more about beautifying their new homes. Between the lush green battlefields and being surrounded by gorgeous bodies of water in every direction, there’s no shortage of hiking spots for Stephanie and her rescue Shepherd mix, Hazel, during each of the four truly distinct seasons NoVa residents enjoy. After a good hike, there are so many restaurants to indulge in that fit any budget, featuring any type of cuisine. On the weekends, you can find Stephanie and her husband at Lake Anna or in the beautiful Outer Banks, where they enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing, and paddle boarding. Stephanie loves animals. In addition to Hazel, Stephanie and her husband have three rescue cats, Lucky, Shadow, and Lizzie. 1. I was a dancer for the first half of my youth and a diver for the second half.
2. I cannot function without coffee! If I don’t start my day with coffee, I’m sideways for the rest of the day.
3. I’m a mover and a shaker. In my life I’ve had one desk job. While I learned a lot, it wasn’t the place for me.
4. I’m a fitness ju**ie and a fan of group fitness classes, which I strive to attend daily! Currently, my favorites are barre (I’m even certified to teach), Kaliente Dance, Barbell, and Cardio Kickboxing.
5. My husband and I met when I was seventeen, at the garden center where we both worked. Little did we know that we’d weave in and out of each other’s lives, and get married 25 years later!
