One night, right around midnight, I received a message from a lead. Instead of waiting until morning, I decided to respond immediately.

That message turned out to be from a real estate agent in Florida whose clients were planning a move to Tennessee. To this day, we’re not exactly sure what connected us or where the lead came from, but I’m so thankful it did.

Over the next few months, we worked together to help the Willard family make a smooth transition from Florida to Tennessee. What started as a simple lead became an incredible experience, and I’m grateful to now call them lifelong friends.

The best part? That first transaction built a relationship beyond just one closing. Diana is now sending another family my way, and we’ve developed a strong referral partnership. It reminds me how valuable it is to have trusted professionals you can confidently recommend to your clients.

Stopped by my clients house today to get a signature I needed after I had an inspection and then a final walk through.
He bought a cake for my arrival to celebrate. He said “Here, let’s eat to celebrate, you’ve done the impossible”
It’s been a long journey for us both. I honestly wasn’t sure what kind of mood he was going to be in since we went under contract. I asked him how he felt and he said he was a little bit angry and a little bit hopeful. Tennessee didn’t work out for him like he had hoped so he most likely will land back at his second home in Africa. When he talks about Africa, that seems like the place he felt more at home.
If you are the praying type, please say a prayer for my client that God will give him direction and keep him safe wherever he does decide to go. It’s going to be a hard month of making decisions and letting go.

Two months ago I was out picking berries and I received a phone call from a Veteran in California, he had been working a job with another Veteran from Tennessee and received my info from him.
Mind you, I have not closed any deals with this Tennessee Veteran but he sent me 2 referrals because when he was considering purchasing some land, I went trekking through the woods with him many times and he was thankful for that. Real estate isn’t always about closing deals, it’s about being available when needed, not thinking about the commission but just thinking about what you can do at that time to help someone.
I’m so thankful for the referrals he has sent me, it means so much!!
Back to the California Veteran, I immediately contacted a preferred lender and they immediately reached out to the client. This weekend he flew in to Tennessee and we went zooming up and down the mountains looking at all different types of homes. We covered a very large area of East Tennessee but that was important because that was the only way to narrow down what area will be good for the family.
I have made a great connection with this family, they are super excited for this adventure and I couldn’t be more happy for them!
