I also enjoy representing Great Southern Homes in the Cedar Mill, Estates at Hilton, and Hidden Cove communities. When people ask me how long I have been in Real Estate, I usually say, "all my life". My mother was a real estate broker with her business operating from an office adjoining the house so I heard a lot of real estate stories growing up. After teaching for several years, my husband was transferred with his employment, and we found ourselves in Columbia, SC. Deciding it was a good time to change careers, 21 years ago, I decided to follow in my mother's footsteps and become a realtor. You should have seen her face and heard her laugh when I brought my fax machine and negotiated a contract on our family vacation. Now along with my dad who had retired and become a broker and my brother also in real estate, we were a real estate family even though I was in a location a few states away. I have found that one of my biggest strengths as a real estate agent is my teaching background. I use it to educate buyers and sellers on the market conditions, homes that meet their needs etc. It is so rewarding when one of the biggest investments of their life --their dream home--becomes a reality. The look in their eyes makes everything worthwhile, and their thrill becomes mine. So please....Let a former teacher do Your HOMEwork!
