The three biggest mistakes I see buyers make!
1. Looking at homes before getting pre-approved.
You need to know what you can afford, and sellers won’t even look at offers that don’t have a pre-approval!
2. Searching for homes at the top of their budget.
You want to give yourself some room to negotiate in the event of a bidding war. Plus, wouldn’t it be nice to have some money left over for improvements if you stay under your budget?!
3.Not hiring a good agent.
This will be one of, if not THE biggest purchase of your life. It's very important to hire a good, experienced agent who can protect you, your money, and your best interests. And the best part is this assistance usually comes to you free of charge! As a buyer, your agent will almost always be paid by the seller of the home you buy, so why wouldn’t you get free advice and protection??
