Growing up in the country, as the oldest of eight kids in a tight-knit family, I spent a lot of time at home. Because of that, I’ve come to appreciate the intangible draw of the places we live in. It’s the feeling you get when you drive up to your childhood home. It’s the growth chart on the walls, the trees that your grandparents planted, the daffodils that come up in the same place every spring.
