This week’s spotlight is on William Owen!

William joined our Auben Capital Partners team earlier this year as a Real Estate Analyst. He graduated from the University of Georgia, where he studied real estate, business, management, marketing, and related support services. William formerly worked as a senior consultant on commercial property tax with Ryan, a financial services company.

This week’s spotlight is on Thom Liggett!

Thom earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1991 from the University of Akron, and he earned his full real estate NC broker’s license in 2014. Thom joined our team with over 30 years of experience with investment funds and real estate development projects. Thom currently serves as Principal at Auben Capital Partners, and we LOVE having him on our team!

As an active investor and asset manager, Thom understands the ins and outs of investing from all angles. He has also served on the leadership teams of several multiple institutionally backed investment fund service platforms.

This week's spotlight is on Tyson Schuetze!

Tyson began his real estate investment career after pursuing multiple career paths in his early twenties. He began working primarily as a real estate leasing agent in New York City, but he soon realized that he wanted to invest more than he wanted to sell. Tyson went on to start the business that would one day be Auben Realty in Augusta, GA in 2008, and with Natalie Walls as co-founder, the company was sure to succeed!

When he’s not working, Tyson enjoys listening to his record collection, reading, and traveling with his wife and daughters.

We asked Tyson what Auben’s early days of success were like, and he said, “From Day One we were investor focused–even in a time when there weren’t a ton of ways to invest and make money. We didn’t advertise… the business just started coming and didn’t stop. All from word-of-mouth.”

Donald is an incredibly accomplished professional with extensive experience in development and construction, strategic planning and ex*****on, sourcing land, renovations, and many other skills and industries. Over the course of his career, he has worked intimately with a variety of investment companies, including: Invesco, Northwestern Mutual Life, MetLife, State Teachers Retirement Systems of Ohio, Lend Lease, General Electric Investments, Ocwen, L&B Realty, IRET, and Phoenix Development.

Donald serves as President of Auben Realty and Principal at Auben Capital Partners. We asked what his goals for Auben include, and Donald told us, “I believe you never stop learning, and I always strive to be better in all aspects of my professional and personal life. Natalie found her passion for real estate after graduating from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion. She has been with Auben from the very beginning, and she was instrumental in laying the foundation of this organization.

As of last year, Natalie is a licensed comptroller/broker in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. She continues to be an incredible leader and industry expert, and we are so fortunate to have Natalie on our team.

Cole is an incredibly experienced real estate investment partner with an extensive history of working in the real estate industry. He has over 23 years of experience in land development, sales, contractors, residential construction, and real estate development. Cole also holds a South Carolina Builders License and a South Carolina Real Estate License.

With a repertoire like that, it is no surprise that Cole serves as Director of Acquisition and Land Development at Auben Realty, President of Auben Development, AND Principal at Auben Capital Partners, a loan syndication that aims to acquire additional property management companies and sales brokerages.

Alex started his career in multifamily property management in his hometown of Louisville, KY. He relocated to Charleston, SC to join a start-up company, where he went on to oversee the property management and renovation of over 1000 single-family homes.

Alex uses his experience to apply scalable operations to our established investment brokerage. When he isn't working, he enjoys playing golf, cheering for the UK Wildcats, and traveling.
