• Nearly half (45%) of all pending contracts in the MLS are for new construction homes.
• About 36% of closings are new homes, but since these homes stay in pending status longer than resales, they actually make up about 33% of the sales market.
• Right now, new homes represent 28% of the inventory, with 4,291 active listings available.
