I'm so excited to finally put this out to the world!
Many of you know I decided to start a career in real estate but you may not know why. As a former teacher in Charleston County (and now the husband of a teacher), I understand the unique challenges teachers face in this town. Rising home prices and a high cost of living make it difficult for many teachers to pursue their dream of owning a home.
I believe teachers have the most important and demanding job in the world. It saddens me to see how society’s perspective of teachers has changed over the years.
Teachers are professionals and they should be treated that way. Unfortunately, they are overworked, underpaid, and under-appreciated. (as many people are realizing firsthand right now!) Just like any other professional, teachers deserve a fair opportunity to buy a good home. Fortunately, many factors have come together to make home-buying more achievable for teachers. The problem is, most teachers don’t realize this.
That's why I created the Live Where You Teach. My goal is to help local teachers overcome those challenges so they can achieve their dream of owning a home.
