I was reflecting on the time spent sharing with my friends at this week, and a thought came to me. I figured some of my friends here could use it as well...

About 6 months ago, a young military couple was referred to me by one of my real estate industry colleagues in another state. They knew they would moving to the Charleston area, and they were nervous about buying their first home!

One of the first things they said was, “We heard you can’t negotiate on new construction.” I laughed. 😂

Fast forward…we found the right community, the right home, negotiated a great deal, closed smoothly, and thanks to an amazing lending partner OJ Linney, they even walked away from closing with money back in their pocket! 🏡

Two lessons here:

- Not all real estate agents are created equal. Who you choose to work with matters.
