Sea turtle nesting season is officially underway along the South Carolina coast 🐢

As beachgoers head out to enjoy the Lowcountry this summer, it’s also an important time to help protect loggerhead turtles returning to our shores to lay their eggs.

Simple things like keeping beaches dark at night, filling in holes, and respecting marked nests can make a huge difference for these incredible animals and future hatchlings.

One more reason we love calling the coast home!
