This season asked more of me than what could be seen.
More trust in God.
More patience in the waiting.
More grace for myself.
This year stretched me deeply—as a woman who follows Christ, a wife, a mom, a grandma, a daughter walking alongside aging parents, a business owner, a real estate agent, and a servant leader building a nonprofit with my husband by my side.
Responsibility carries weight.
Leadership does too.
You learn how to lead while still leaning on the Lord.
How to show up even when your strength feels limited.
How to make decisions without full clarity and still believe God is ordering your steps.
“How precious is the steadfast love of God,” even when outcomes don’t look how you hoped. (Psalm 36:7)
And yet—there is purpose in the stretching.
Because leadership also lets you witness God at work.
Growth you didn’t manufacture.
Doors you didn’t force open.
Lives impacted in ways you may never fully see.
“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me.” (Psalm 138:8)
As I step forward, this is the posture I’m choosing:
I will remain rooted in who God created me to be.
I will work diligently without losing my peace.
I will rest when my spirit needs it, trusting that God does not require striving to prove faithfulness.
And I will remember that my capacity to serve flows from staying connected to Him.
“Come to Me, all who are weary, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
So if you need this reminder today:
Release comparison.
Let go of rushed timelines.
Stop believing you’re behind.
You’re not late.
You’re being shaped.
Live fully in the season you’re in.
Be faithful with what’s been entrusted to you.
And keep becoming who God designed—not who culture pressures you to be.
