I am re-sharing this because this is so important to me. I didn’t get into to real estate because I did not have enough to do. Lol. I just know that homeownership builds wealth. When we die, we are more likely to lose our property. It is sad. It is so important for African-Americans to understand homeownership. This is your year.

Just an idea. Save your tax return and next stimulus for a down payment on your home. Biden is also considering a $15000 tax credit for 1st time homeowners. Get it together.

It’s a great thing to pay off your mortgage. Or maybe it isn’t. Did you know your mortgage is tax deductible and your rent isn’t? If you pay off your home, you may pay more in taxes. That is another reason to buy a home vs. renting.

Same floor plans. The house on the left even with renovations is significantly less than the house on the right. Location is everything. So when people ask me about their dream house, I ask how much vision do you have, where are you willing to go, and how much work are you willing to do?

Neighbor: have you lived here long?
Me: About a year.
Neighbor: I just moved in. Where do you live?
Me: A few streets over. We have the same floor plan.
Neighbor: I hit the dead tree in front of your yard. Do you have the door cam? Am I on it? I was being nosey. Your neighbor was gonna call an ambulance for me.
Me: Yep. Our houses are the same. What were you looking at- my dead palms?
Neighbor: I was looking on Zillow. It said your house is worth more than mine. I was trying to figure out why.
Me: I am going to bring you my real estate card tonight. First mistake, don’t believe Zillow. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️
