Last night Olive Branch #124 Charleston Maine, presented checks to some of our local charitable organizations: Bradford Rec Department $750, Charleston Rec Department $750, Corinth Rec Department $750, Hudson Rec Department $750, and the Charleston Library $1500. A lot of this money comes from the bottle return bins and the help of the MAC program. https://masoniccharitablefoundation.org/ also with the http://templeguardme.org/. Thank you to everyone that help make these things possible. Also thank you to G.H. Veazie in Hudson for take care of our returnables.

Today Olive Branch Lodge delivery all the bikes to Corinth school, for the bikes for books program, good luck to all the kids. You all make us proud.

The bottle returnable bin has been put away for the winter but will return in the spring. We thank you for all the donations. You can still drop you bottles of at Veazies redemption center on Rt 221 in Hudson just tell them the are for Olive Branch Lodge. Again we thank you for your support.

You can now drop you returnables off at Veazies redemption center in Hudson, just tell them there are for the Olive Branch Lodge in Charleston. The Money raise will going to the MAC program (Masons assisting communities).

The Masonic Charitable Foundation is a masonic charity providing support to those inside and outside the Masonry. It relies on the generosity of its donors and the volunteerism of the masons.

This week's is Brother Donald Young! Brother Young has been a Mason for 47 years and in that time he has served Olive Branch Lodge No. 124 in many many ways - including as Master of the Lodge twice. Brother Young has also served as District Education Representative and District Deputy Grand Master of the 6th District. His brothers remark that he is the first to assist in any way he can.

He prefers to stay out of the spotlight - unless you count his performances as Bobo the Clown. If you have seen the Anah Shrine Clowns - be it in a circus or a parade - chances are you've seen Bobo! With Anah Shrine, Brother Young also serves in the Sunshine Club - providing Shrine Hospital patients with much-needed transportation. Brother Young works hard to raise funds to help those families defer the cost of lodging as well during a very difficult time.

Although he retired from Lane Construction just a few years ago, this brother is not stopping any time soon. When he's not helping someone in need, volunteering his time, or clowning around - Don and his wife Janice can be found riding the open road on their Harleys!
