Today my husband and I had the opportunity to preview West Ashley’s newest restaurant, Ruby Sunshine, that offers all day brunch. Ruby Sunshine is a New Orleans inspired restaurant so you can expect to see some menu items that have a Louisiana twist. We ordered the Seasonal Mimosa Flight and a Bloody Mary and all 5 appetizers on the menu: French Toast Bites, Pig-Candy Bacon Bites, Loaded Tots, Fried Green Tomatoes and Holy Cannoli Seasonal Beignets.

For our entrees, my husband had The Trifecta and I had The Peacemaker. Both meals were delicious and we both noted that the poached eggs were cooked to perfection.

We truly had an exceptional experience. The managers, the chef, the kitchen staff – everyone working at Ruby Sunshine – were outgoing, energetic and it is clear they have fun working there. The new location opens this Friday, Nov. 18th and they are located in The Victory building in Avondale at 835 Savannah Hwy., Suite A. Go visit them soon because it won’t take long for folks to find out how delicious the food is at Ruby Sunshine….and y’all know we love good food, especially brunch, in Charleston!
